Majestica, the Swedish power metal band from Boden, started life as ReinXeed, a solo project by vocalist and guitarist Tommy Johansson. The debut album The Light was a genuine one man show, with Johansson playing every instrument himself. That record landed them fans in Japan and kicked off a run of albums, including the Titanic concept album 1912, before the band rebranded as Majestica in 2019 when they signed to Nuclear Blast Records. Their sound pulls from film soundtracks like The Lord of the Rings as much as from power metal legends like Helloween and Stratovarius. Their 2020 release A Christmas Carol leaned hard into the symphonic side, with tubular bells, glockenspiel and sleigh bells woven through a full concept retelling of the Dickens classic. Most recently, they put out the full album Power Train in early 2025, keeping the momentum going for a band that has now released nine studio albums across two names.
