Few voices have shaped British rock quite like Morrissey's. As the frontman of The Smiths in the 1980s, he helped create a body of work that still resonates decades later, with songs like 'This Charming Man' and 'There Is a Light That Never Goes Out' becoming genuine classics. His distinctive baritone and sharply poetic lyrics set him apart from the start, and those qualities carried straight into a solo career that proved just as substantial.
