Phantogram are a duo from Greenwich, New York, made up of Sarah Barthel and Josh Carter, two multi instrumentalists who blend indie pop, electropop and glitch pop into something that feels both digital and deeply human. Their sound sits at the intersection of hazy atmospherics and punchy electronic beats, and it earned them serious chart traction when their third album, Three, cracked the Billboard 200 top 10 back in 2016. Singles like 'Fall in Love' and 'You Don't Get Me High Anymore' both made the top 10 on US Alternative radio, and the album itself was shaped in part by personal grief following the loss of Barthel's sister. Beyond their own records, they have a knack for interesting collaborations. They teamed up with OutKast's Big Boi twice, including the joint EP Big Grams in 2015, contributed a track to the Grand Theft Auto V soundtrack, and even popped up on a Flaming Lips album. They have shared stages with acts ranging from Muse and Beach House to the xx and Future Islands. More recently they released 'Black Out Days' with Ian Asher in 2025.
