Ravyn Lenae built her reputation on fluid vocals and a sound that refuses to sit still, pulling from R&B, pop, reggae, Afrobeats and rock all at once. The Chicago singer, signed to Atlantic Records, came up through the Zero Fatigue collective alongside Monte Booker and Smino, and her early EPs earned praise for spare, poetic songwriting. A third EP, Crush, was produced entirely by Steve Lacy, hinting at the adventurous collaborations to come. Her debut album Hypnos arrived in 2022 with contributions from Steve Lacy, Kaytranada, Smino and more, but it was her second album Bird's Eye in 2024 that turned heads on a wider scale. Executive produced by Dahi, it pushed into downtempo guitar and experimental reggae pop while keeping her trademark soprano front and centre. The lead single Love Me Not became a genuine breakout, climbing into the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 after a TikTok mashup with Solange went viral in early 2025. She also landed a spot on the Short n' Sweet Tour alongside Olivia Dean and Amber Mark, and appeared at Coachella 2025.
