About
Also known as: V. Monet, V. Monét, Victoria McCants, Victoria Mone't, Victoria Monet, Victoria Monet', Victoria Monét McCants
Victoria Monét built her reputation as one of the more quietly essential songwriters in pop and R&B before the spotlight fully swung her way. She co wrote tracks for every Ariana Grande studio album from Yours Truly through Positions, and picked up three Grammy nominations for her work on Thank U, Next alone. All that time, she was also putting out her own music, working through a run of EPs that culminated in Jaguar in 2020, a project that earned serious critical attention. Her debut album Jaguar II arrived in 2023 and changed everything. The single On My Mama cracked the Billboard Hot 100 top 40 and earned a Grammy nomination for Record of the Year. At the 66th Annual Grammy Awards she walked away with Best New Artist, Best R&B Album, and Best Engineered Album, Non Classical, seven nominations total. Her sound sits comfortably across funk, soul, and R&B, and she has written for the likes of Travis Scott, Nas, Blackpink, Brandy, and Chloe x Halle.
