About
A 19 year old Australian artist, REDD. treats music as both an outlet and a way of sharing their identity with the world. Their sound sits somewhere between punk energy, pop melodies and hip hop, while the lyrics lean into personal storytelling, self examination and carving out space beyond fixed social norms. During the pandemic, REDD. taught themselves songwriting and production from scratch, and that self sufficiency has stuck. Uploading early demos to triple j Unearthed caught the attention of the Australian music scene quickly, eventually landing them a deal with Island/Republic Records. A multi instrumentalist and producer, REDD. stays closely involved in the visual world surrounding their music too. The mixtape RAUNCH. showcases a sound that is unfiltered and distinctly their own.
