Theory of a Deadman have built a reputation as one of Canada's most consistent hard rock acts, with nine singles cracking the top ten of the US Billboard Mainstream Rock chart. Four of those went all the way to number one: "Bad Girlfriend", "Lowlife", "Rx (Medicate)", and "History of Violence". The band blends post grunge and alternative rock with touches of country and acoustic, giving their sound a bit more range than most of their peers. Formed in 1999 in North Delta, British Columbia, the group was the first act to sign with Chad Kroeger's 604 Records imprint, and Kroeger co produced their debut. Since then they've put out six studio albums, contributed tracks to video game soundtracks, performed WWE pay per view themes, and toured with everyone from Mötley Crüe to Alter Bridge. Their third album, Scars and Souvenirs, went gold in the US with half a million copies sold, and it featured a guest turn from Chris Daughtry on the track "By the Way".
