Girl group KATSEYE will not be performing at Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival because member Megan Skiendiel sprained her ankle during rehearsals.

KATSEYE will not be performing at Olivia Rodrigo's Daisy Chain Fields Festival on Saturday, August 29 at Great Park in Irvine, California. The girl group announced on Weverse that member Megan Skiendiel sprained her ankle during rehearsals for the group's upcoming tour. After being examined by doctors, she was advised to rest so the injury can heal properly.
Things were already complicated within KATSEYE: two members, Manon Bannerman and Sophia Laforteza, are currently on a break. With Megan's injury on top of that, performing right now simply isn't an option. Devon Again has reportedly been added to the lineup as a replacement.
The group's statement makes their disappointment clear. "We're so incredibly sorry to share that we are unable to perform at Daisy Chain Fields this Saturday," they wrote, adding: "We know how much our fans were looking forward to seeing us, and it breaks our hearts to disappoint anyone who made plans to be there." The group also emphasized how especially excited they had been about this particular event because of its broader mission around community and connection.
Daisy Chain Fields is a one day festival that Rodrigo herself put together and is being held for the very first time. The concept focuses exclusively on female artists and nonprofits that support women. The lineup is impressive: alongside Rodrigo herself, it features Chappell Roan, Bikini Kill, Doechii, Garbage, Mitski, The Breeders, Santigold, Rachel Chinouriri, Die Spitz, Eli, Not For Radio and Quiet Light, with Karen O, Sarah McLachlan and Stevie Nicks announced as special guests. Performances are spread across two stages, the Dandelion Stage and the Marigold Stage, with no overlapping sets.
Festival proceeds will go to nonprofits that support women and girls, including Baby2Baby, Black Mamas Matter Alliance, Center For Reproductive Rights, FreeFrom, Johns Hopkins Center For Indigenous Health, National Women's Law Center and Planned Parenthood. Themes like reproductive rights, maternal health, economic independence and gender equality are at the heart of it all. Rodrigo described the inspiration behind the name in an earlier interview with Good Morning America like this: "When I pictured this festival, I had an image in my head of girls sitting underneath a tree, like, making little daisy chains or flower crowns or friendship bracelets."
Dutch fans won't be able to attend the festival itself, but Rodrigo is heading to Europe in April next year as part of her world tour Unraveled, with a show at The O2 in London. As for KATSEYE, the group is hoping to keep Megan's recovery as short as possible so they can be ready for that same upcoming tour.
