Rachel Chinouriri has a knack for writing songs that feel both intimate and undeniable, and her debut album What a Devastating Turn of Events proved she could carry that quality across a full record. Released in May 2024, it debuted at number 17 on the UK Albums Chart, built on the kind of melodic alternative pop that had already earned her serious radio attention. Her single Give Me a Reason was nominated for an Ivor Novello Award, and All I Ever Asked was picked as BBC Radio 1's Hottest Record in the World by Clara Amfo. She first started turning heads with So My Darling, a song she wrote at 17 that quietly blew up on TikTok years after its original release, racking up over 40,000 videos using the audio. Since then she has shared stages with the likes of Lewis Capaldi and Sabrina Carpenter, and played the Other Stage at Glastonbury in 2024. Her 2025 EP Little House shows she keeps her writing focused and personal.
