Bullet for My Valentine are a Welsh heavy metal band out of Bridgend who have spent over two decades making a serious dent in the genre. Influenced by Metallica, Iron Maiden and Slayer, they built a sound that sits right in the tradition of classic metal while pulling in a generation of fans who might not have grown up on those bands. Their debut album The Poison landed in 2005 and went gold in the US, kicking off a run of albums that kept charting higher with each release. Scream Aim Fire debuted at number four on the Billboard 200, Fever at number three, and the band has moved more than three million copies worldwide. Over seven studio albums they have stayed consistent without sounding stuck, from the aggression of Venom through to their 2021 self titled record. They are the most decorated act in the Kerrang! Awards Best British Band category, with three wins to their name. Not bad for a group that started out playing Metallica and Nirvana covers in South Wales.
