Few acts have pulled off what Dami Im managed at Eurovision 2016: representing Australia in Stockholm with "Sound of Silence", she finished second and posted the highest Eurovision score any Australian act has ever achieved. That kind of moment doesn't happen by accident. Im had already proven herself on home turf by winning the fifth season of The X Factor Australia, with her debut single "Alive" going straight to number one on the ARIA Singles Chart and her self titled album following it to the top of the albums chart, making her the first X Factor Australia contestant to score back to back chart toppers. Her sound sits across classical, pop and rock, and the technical depth she brings comes through clearly on records like Heart Beats, which produced the top twenty hits "Super Love" and "Gladiator". After years with Sony Music she moved to ABC Music in 2020, around the time she released "Crying Underwater" and "Marching On". More recently she has been covering material from artists like Kpop Demon Hunters, keeping her output varied and her audience curious.
