Chicago born rapper, singer and producer 2hollis blends cloud rap, digicore and electropop into a sound that feels genuinely difficult to pin down. Born Hollis Frazier Herndon, he started out making music under the name Drippysoup, then briefly explored a medieval fantasy rap project called Open Swords of Ten before landing on the 2hollis alias in 2020. His early songs were described as medieval trap, which tells you a lot about how freely he moves between genres. His 2022 album White Tiger put him on the map, and the 2023 song Poster Boy landed on the EA Sports FC 24 soundtrack, reaching a whole new audience. Things really accelerated with his third studio album Boy and the singles crush and jeans. His 2025 album Star kept the momentum going, and the single Afraid featuring Nate Sib earned a spot on The New York Times Best Songs of 2025 list, with one reviewer calling it a relentlessly preppy hyperelectropop bomb.
