CeeLo Green built his reputation as one of the most distinctive voices in hip hop and soul, first as a core member of Atlanta's Goodie Mob, whose 1995 debut Soul Food helped define Southern rap. His range really became clear with Gnarls Barkley, the duo he formed with Danger Mouse in 2003. Their single "Crazy" cracked the top five of the Billboard Hot 100 and hit number one across multiple countries, making them impossible to ignore. The duo followed it with two albums, St. Elsewhere and The Odd Couple. His 2010 solo album The Lady Killer leaned hard into funk and delivered his biggest solo moment, "Fuck You", which peaked at number two on the Billboard Hot 100 and won a Grammy for Best Urban/Alternative Performance. He has kept busy across film and television too, voicing Murray the Mummy in Hotel Transylvania and serving as a coach on The Voice for four seasons. His catalog now spans six solo albums and two Goodie Mob reunion records.
