About
Sevendust built their reputation the hard way, starting from a debut album that moved just 311 copies in its first week before grinding all the way to gold certification. The Atlanta heavy hitters blend nu metal, alternative metal and hard rock into a sound anchored by Lajon Witherspoon's vocals and the guitar chemistry between John Connolly and Clint Lowery. Their name came straight from a commercial insecticide brand, which tells you something about their no nonsense attitude. Three consecutive RIAA gold certified albums and a Grammy nomination confirmed they were more than a one record story. Highlights along the way include the tribute track "Angel's Son", written for the late Lynn Strait of Snot and performed acoustically on Late Show with David Letterman, and "Enemy", which served as the official theme for WWE Unforgiven 2003. Fifteen studio albums deep, they remain one of the more consistently active bands to come out of the Atlanta metal scene.
