Led by singer and songwriter Finn Andrews, The Veils are a British and New Zealand art rock act with a reputation for live shows that are genuinely intense. Rough Trade Records head Geoff Travis has compared Andrews to Nick Cave and David Bowie, which gives you a sense of the emotional territory the band occupies. The group released their debut album The Runaway Found in 2004 on Rough Trade, and Andrews rebuilt the lineup entirely before recording their second album in 2006. Their fourth record was made in Laurel Canyon, Los Angeles, and came out in April 2013, with five live Abbey Road sessions added as exclusive extras. More recently the band has been putting out tracks including Low Lays The Devil, with the group steadily building a following across Europe, the US and Canada.
