Few Latin artists have racked up a run quite like Juanes. The Colombian rock and pop singer born Juan Esteban Aristizábal Vásquez has sold more than 15 million records worldwide and won 26 Latin Grammy Awards, including a sweep of all five nominations at the 2003 Latin Grammy Awards, taking home Song, Record, and Album of the Year in one night. His breakthrough third album Mi Sangre produced three consecutive number one singles, and the track La Camisa Negra became a genuine global phenomenon, spending 17 weeks in the Dutch top ten and finishing number one in the Dutch Top 40 year end chart. His catalog runs from the gritty Latin rock of his debut Fíjate Bien through a string of platinum records across Colombia, Mexico, and Spain. He collaborated with Nelly Furtado on the duet Fotografía as well as the single Te Busqué, and contributed a cover of Enter Sandman to The Metallica Blacklist. Beyond the music, his NGO Fundacion Mi Sangre advocates for Colombian victims of anti personnel mines.
